  • no, this did not make me tear up…it is not enuf to just remember they fought and died…we are to protect the constitution, which is what they are dying for…this feel good, emotional stuff is nice, but it don’t help them out at all…

well,, you know i was in vietnam,,, and you may also know, i was there for the beer…

i was only there one christmas… i remember it like it was yesterday,, i was in the armed forces police in danang… i wrote a bus driver a ticket for blocking an intersection,, it was right at midnight between christmas eve and christmas… even tho there was nobody there but him when i showed up…

that was some of the coldest beer i ever drank,,, hahahahaha,,, i wonder if that ticket flew.. hey,,, we had our quotas there too…. scum baggedy cops….

me being a cop,,, i had a free ride. as long as it was another cop who caught me in my wrongdoings,,, hahahahahaha i cashed in numerous times,, that beer was really cold…

im nowhere near the subject here am i,,,

  • actually,, most are there for the job.. its a good paying job… anymore,, it wasnt back in the day,, but life was easier then…

they are kids,, looking for the next payday,, could care less about the constitution or protecting america…

thats why they hire kids,, and not adults…. they keep the beer cold… and kids do as they are told… adults,,, sometimes use reason before following an order…

it was fun,,, yea,,, i was a kid… i guess it would still be fun,, im still kind of a kid,, i dont follow instructions near as well anymore tho…

  • @mejicojohn - i didn’t say why soldiers join, try to read carefully ….kids join for all kind of reasons..i said this emotional stuff is all nicey nice but it doesn’t help them at all…it’s up to us to protect the constitution they are dying for (whether they know it or not)….
