hello out there!
I feel bad.. I rarely ever stop by here anymore. I seem to be more stuck on Facebook when I can chat with friends and family. However, I do like reading everyone’s posts when I do come by so thanks to those of you that bother.
December was good and bad. I finally had Rowdee put to sleep a few days after Christmas. One of my most horrible days ever. I don’t know that I’ve ever had a bond like that with any animal. I think it may be that we were there for each other when we needed someone most. He was sick when he was young, for some reason he couldn’t make his back legs work. The vets had no clue what was wrong. They tested, medicated, etc., etc. and still couldn’t fix him. I carried him everywhere for months and just when I was ready to give up and fit him for a cat wheelchair, he stared to wobbly walk around. He regained mobility and was fine after that. He was my comfort when I moved to Wisconsin and didn’t know anyone. It was a hard time for me and he was always there for me to snuggle. I miss him terribly.
Christmas was quiet and sort of depressing. I was so happy to have something to look forward to though… which was spending New Years in California with my family. Went to the Rose Parade, Disneyland and had lots of family together for a post Christmas meal. It was a wonderful time. I miss my family a lot and it seems to get harder to leave them everytime I have to go. My sister lives in Pasadena (we stayed with her right in the middle of all of the action!) so we walked the parade route on New Years Eve. It’s a great place to ring in the new year, happy people everywhere.

Tower of Terror – I forgot how fun that ride is!
my beautiful daughter and her new boyfriendThis past week I went to the pound and got a couple of cats. In my opinion, a home just isn’t a home without cats. I ended up getting two boys, both black and real sweethearts. Voltan the Destroyer is almost 2. He is the sweeter of the two and lets me kiss him. Nibbles (Mr Nibs) is 5 and a little shyer. He loves to get under the covers at night which is a little shocking to Paul. lol..

I’m still not working and don’t see that things are picking up much. It sucks. I wonder when Barry’s big jobs plans are going to kick in. He’s too busy making the Arizona victims memorial into a Democratic pep rally to worry about jobs I guess. Apparently I have my priorities screwed up…
I hope everyone has a wonderful 2011
