NOT SURPRISINGLY,  SOME WORSHIPERS AT SUNDAY SERVICES WILL GIVE  CASINO CHIPS RATHER THAN CASH WHEN THE BASKET  IS  PASSED.

 
 
 
 

SINCE THEY  GET CHIPS FROM MANY DIFFERENT CASINOS, THE  CHURCHES HAVE DEVISED A METHOD TO COLLECT THE  OFFERINGS..

THE CHURCHES  SEND ALL THEIR COLLECTED CHIPS TO A NEARBY  FRANCISCAN MONASTERY FOR SORTING AND THEN THE  CHIPS ARE TAKEN TO THE CASINOS OF ORIGIN AND  CASHED IN.

I'm never here anymore because I've gotten hooked on playing Farmville on facebook. It's like crack! I totally blame my sister.

Happy New Year. I've had a wonderful end of 2009, starting with the way too brief visit home for Christmas. My daughter and her boyfriend came in last Wed on the redeye and left yesterday morning. I miss that little weasel so much and cry like an idiot when she leaves. sigh... a Mom forever.

We did some fun things while she was here - New Years eve at a Jim Gaffigan show - he's pretty funny. We also hiked at the quarry lake in the snow - quite the difference when it is frozen over. We visited the Pabst Mansion, it was gorgeous. We had tickets to go to a basketball game but it was just too cold for the thin skinned Californians to be out in!  Not that I'm one anymore.... hee hee!

Yesterday P and I went to the Cirque de la Symphony. What a cool performance that was. The Milwaukee Symphony would play while Cirque preformers would do their acts above the stage in front of the symphony. A nice way to wrap up the holiday season.
